Student Email
KUSD has implemented the use of email accounts for all students in grades 3-12. Student emails are provided as a digital tool to enhance instruction and develop digital citizens. Classroom activities may include: sharing documents with a teacher, creating online educational accounts, communicating with students, or collaboration on group projects. Elementary student email by default is restricted to internal (in-district) communication unless a school has opted to allow external communication. Parents will be notified of any exceptions. We encourage all parents and students to review the Student Technology Acceptable Use Policy 6633 to ensure proper use of this digital tool.
The use of a student email account is not mandated. To opt-out, a parent will need to contact their child’s school and request to have the student email account disabled. Parents can access the email account if their child provides them with the username and password.
