Washington Middle School band students are demonstrating great perseverance in adjusting to band class in a pandemic. Musicians are performing with special musician masks and using new technology to participate in individual lessons. Band teacher Lucas Dickinson also found new ways to focus on individual performance and feedback for his students with online platforms such as Smartmusic and Flipgrid for assignments. Additionally, Dickinson uses an audio interface for recordings and uses video-editing software to edit lessons and performances into videos for his students and families.
