Virtual Return 2020
As some of you may already know, KUSD moved to a full virtual opening for the 2020-21 school year for the safety and well-being of our students and staff (watch the meeting). Because this varies from the original Return 2020 plan, the district asks for your continued patience and support as we adjust to align with the new direction and finalize any changes, such as impact on course offerings, special education plans, extracurricular activities (sports/clubs/etc.), staff/student expectations, daily structure/schedule, meal distribution, technology (Chromebooks, hotspots, etc.) distribution, staffing, school supplies and more. Discussions also will occur surrounding how and when to safely return to in-person learning, though no timeline has been established at this time.
Please use this form to submit any questions you may have so we can work to ensure all are answered in our final VIRTUAL RETURN 2020. We appreciate all feedback, ideas and questions as this will ensure we provide the very best plan possible for our families and staff. The goal is to have an updated plan finalized for review and possible approval by the Board of Education at a special meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 18, though some decisions regarding topics within the plan may not occur until the regular board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
As shared time and time again throughout this process - we cannot thank you enough for your support of the district and the difficult work that is being done in the face of a pandemic. We greatly appreciate each and every one of you.
