Message from the Principal
I am proud to be the principal of McKinley Elementary School for 13 years. I love being a part of a neighborhood school that has a highly qualified and dedicated staff. We work hard every day to provide a safe, positive learning environment for our students. We are in our third year as a Responsive Classroom School. This program allows our staff to focus on creating a positive, safe environment where children can reach their highest potential. We follow The McCubby Trail every day. The McCubby Trail is an expectation where students are safe, responsible, and respectful. McKinley Elementary received the Certificate of Merit from the state of Wisconsin for 2014-2015 and 2015 – 2016. This award means we have met the state expectations of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention for Students).
The Vision of McKinley Elementary is:
By June 2022 McKinley Elementary will be ranked in the top 5 Title 1 Elementary Schools by building a foundation that focuses on academic growth and character development.
Parents and visitors are always welcome at McKinley. We ask that you stop in the office for a visitor or volunteer pass before going to any classroom in the school. We are always looking for additional tutors for our partner Reading tutor program with United Way. If you are interested email firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to a tremendous year as we continue to make McKinley one of the best schools in the state of Wisconsin.
