med red puzzle piece  Behavior

We have worked hard to put in place a cohesive discipline system. Students and parents are expected to work with your student’s teacher to support our system of reflection, personal responsibility, and positive choices. KTEC uses reflection forms in the classrooms to get the students to think about their behavior. This is to be used to open a discussion between the student and teacher. Students exhibiting major violations of expectations or repeated violations of the same behavior, will be referred to the Dean of Students and face additional consequences.

Dress Code

The dress code is located in student agendas and on the KUSD website.

Students must have sleeves on their tops. Even though some classrooms and the playground can get toasty, tank tops and sleeveless tops are not permitted. We encourage students to bring water bottles to keep hydrated and cool.

Please call the office if you have any questions regarding the dress code.

We will try to remedy the dress code infraction at school before calling parents to bring in a change of clothes (change into gym shoes, put another shirt on, etc).
