As students walk the halls for their first school year back to in-person education, many can be heard conversing about all the new changes. One of the more popular topics of campus conversations this fall is a new scoreboard at Jaskwhich Stadium.

Throughout the first few weeks, it has been used for many sporting events and has been overtly admired by the crowd during football games. Many have  commented on how large it is and have affirmed that you can see the sizable scoreboard from down the street.

Not only is it extensive in size but it has been proven to be extensive with all its new features.

“It has the ability to do everything a college stadium can do, from replays to lives to even movies,” Indian Trail Principal Scott Kennow said.

Communications Academy senior Jace Covelli coordinates and manages the system, along with the help of a staff member.

“It operates by a computer plugged into two server boxes, so it’s not too tricky to manage,” Covelli said. “The crowd seems to love it!”

Not only is the scoreboard interactive for the crowd but both Principal Kennow and Covelli agree that it is a great outlet for Communications students to hone their digital media skills.
