Help Her

A smile that lasts only on the outside,

and a pain that runs too deep.

She desperately needs a lifeline,

a smile that lasts only on the outside.

Release what’s held on the inside,

and stop her from taking the leap.

A smile that lasts only on the outside,

and a pain that runs too deep.

She breathes faster and

faster until her breaths are

no longer enough.

Who made the saying

“Beauty is only skin deep”?

It’s never been true.

Listen closely and

hear the rain

against the window.

You told me you knew

what you were

doing, but you lied.
