Prom 2019

The Prom 2019 court

A cliché theme, a crowded dance hall, and too many teenagers.

Not an inaccurate description of Indian Trail High School & Academy’s 2019 prom, but that does not mean every person in the room didn’t enjoy a thoroughly beloved night. From modern trap legends like Fetty Wap, to classic 2000s jams such as P!nk’s “Raise Your Glass,” each song amassed nearly every student in attendance.

After a light-hearted but hard-fought campaign, the night kicked off with the coronation of Prom King Nathan Klimisch and Prom Queen Jaden Zuzinec, General Studies juniors. Klimisch and Zuzinec were crowned by last year’s king and queen, Travis Shore and Emily Zank, General Studies seniors. This year’s prince and princess, Jeremiah Suber and Olivia Zank, both General Studies juniors, were crowned by last year’s prom princess, Bella Fulton, a General Studies senior.

Indian Trail’s Under The Stars themed prom brought together 560 students downtown to Kenosha’s Madrigrano Marina Shores banquet hall on May 11, 2019. For many seniors, it was their last hurrah until graduation, and for many juniors, their first taste to the long heralded epitome of high school parties. Some may call prom an overhyped dance, no better than homecoming, but those people hadn’t spent the night spinning and flying with their favorite people for nearly five hours.
