He is hilarious. He is well-liked. He is even adorable. And now, he is Indian Trail’s new ambassador! Theo S. took first place with a 287-248 vote in schoolwide elections held Dec. 7.

“It’s pretty exciting but I could not have done it without my excellent team,” he says. True that. The famous gigantic poster of Theo’s face with “Join The Party” written below it was a huge hit.

“The freshmen really made a difference for Theo. His poster was a huge factor in the way they casted their vote,” says Che Kearby, AP U.S. Government teacher.

While Tiffany T., who competed against Theo for the post, can’t call herself the winner, she still feels accomplished. The nacho sale she held as part of her campaign was deemed successful.

“We had a really good turnout, and I was just proud to be raising lots of money for a good cause,” she says.

It was a close race, but there are no hard feelings.

“Even though I lost, I know Theo will make a really great ambassador, so I feel good about the outcome,” says Tiffany T.

What can be expected to be on Theo’s list of possible things to do as ambassador?

“I’m hoping to try to get us some real passing time. At least five minutes,” he says.
