The latest season of Demon Slayer left me wanting more. But, unfortunately, the 10 episodes that were part of the Entertainment District Arc were not enough.

I love that the writers continue right where the show left off. Waiting for each episode to come out was unbearable. Demon Slayer is an anime about Tanjiro Kamado, who becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his sister Nezuko becomes a demon. Tanjiro goes on a journey making friends along the way to learn how to become more powerful. The show has been around since 2019. Each adventure and dark fantasy episode lasts 24 minutes long.

The four main characters venture off to a new area with reappearing character Tengen Uzui, a higher rank officer in the Demon Slayer corps than the other four main characters. Tengen Uzui is a Hashira who uses the sound breathing technique, his specialty when using his swords. Uzui takes Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to a new part of the country, the Entertainment District. Their mission is to go undercover and save Tengen’s three wives, Suma, Makio, and Hinatsuru.

I did enjoy the background about Uzui and his wives. He became one of my favorite characters because of his strong, caring, flashy character, and seeing him in battle was incredible.

Speaking of battle, the battle scenes are astonishing; I was on the edge of my seat with who would win and seeing Tanjiro unleash his power as he battles Daki, a powerful demon. Daki is a demon disguised as a human while Tanjiro and the others try to find the monster. Daki is beautiful but a fearsome foe who is just cruel and selfish. She treats everyone as lower than her and isn’t hesitant to hit those who go against her way.

It was a major shock when Gyutaro appeared as Daki’s older brother. He is so much more powerfull than his little sister going in battle with Tengen he loses his hand battling against Gyutaro. Gyutaro is the protector when Daki was crying he comforted her and started battling Tengen because of it. I loved the design of the new characters, as well as when Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke had to dress up like women when going undercover.

My favorite part was the connection between Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko. As the show progresses, their connection and growth as a duo develops and shows the close bond siblings can share. Nezuko’s demon blood art (spells or techniques that they can cast) against the other demon Daki was entertaining. I recommend this show because of its humor, adventure, and heartwarming scenes.
