Spider-man: No Way Home is a spectacular and heart wrenching way to continue the story of Peter Parker.

Released globally on Dec.17, Spider-man: No Way Home is the third installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-man movies. The film directly follows Spider-man: Far From Home where we got the jaw dropping scene of Mysetrio exposing Peter Parker as Spider-man. In Spider-man: No Way Home, Peter sees how the world knowing his identity affects the ones he loves. He battles to protect his family while also trying to maintain his moral code.

There has never been a movie that made me feel the things I felt like No Way Home. What do I feel? Absolutely nothing. My eyes are dry, my heart is numb, the only thing with any sense of  feeling is my brain. My thoughts race with the events of the movie and what is to come next.

We all had high hopes when it came to Spider-man: No Way Home, ever since they announced the movie, theories have been thrown around left and right. l was one of those who also believed these theories and even though it wasn’t what I expected it to be, I was not disappointed.

This movie was a fever dream, every single scene seemed to flash by in a blink of an eye. Each one was just as important than the other, just one trip to the bathroom would cause you to miss out on something that will change your whole view of the film.

The way the actors portrayed each character brought chills to my skin. Tom Holland did such a good job showing every emotion Peter Parker was battling with.

The director, Jon Watts, did an amazing job with the character development. We first seen Peter as a naive child and see grow him into a man who understands the consequences of his lifestyle.

Another character that changed a lot was MJ. When we first see her in Homecoming, she is very closed off and reserved. She distanced herself from everyone and uses humor as a defensive mechanism. In No Way Home, she opened up a little more. She’s more loving, more chill, of course she still has her sense of humor but you can definitely see that her friendship with Peter and Ned have changed her.

I wasn’t alive when the first Spider-man came out, I was only ten years old when The Amazing Spider-man 2 came out, so I never got to experience these villains on the big screen but seeing them up there gave me a sense of nostalgia, it was absolutely perfect. The entrance of each villain was so perfectly set up, it left the theater screaming in a fit of excitement.

Watts made an effort to bring a new personality to some of the beloved characters that we never really saw in their original movies. I give props to him for not keeping the same basic storyline by changing it up a bit.

The costumes in this movie were spectacular. From Electros complete make over and Green Goblins upgrade to Peter’s crafty suits. It really shows that they went into this movie with a fine tooth comb.

I felt like I was one the edge the entire movie. There were a few jump scares, I can still hear the collective screams of everyone in the theater. There were some moments that were drawn out, causing my body to shake with anticipation of what was going to happen.

This movie was very emotional. Although I didn’t cry, tears stung my eyes at multiple points. By the end of it, I’ve gotten so used to the tragedy I didn’t expect anything less.

If you pay close attention, they throw in a few easter eggs from previous Spider-Man films, that is something I cherish.

The humor in this movie is something to die for, especially when it comes to Electro. In The Amazing Spider-man 2, he is just straight awkward but in No Way Home, he has these little side lines that made the theater fill with laughter.

The chemistry between Peter and MJ is beautiful, you can feel the romance through the screen. Throwing Ned in there, you feel like your are experiencing their friendship with them.

The ending of the movie is what made me feel numb. There’s not much I can say without spoiling it but it is something that will make you sit there and reflect on what just happened. It just takes everything you thought you knew and strips it away.

It’s not a Marvel movie without the mid and post credit scene. The mid-credit scene was something I totally wasn’t expecting. As soon as I heard the voice that was coming through the speakers, I started screaming. With the way it left off, I’m sure there is going to be a big future for Peter Parker.

The post-credit scene was something that everyone has been waiting along time for. Me and my friends squeezed each other’s hands in excitement as we finally got to experience something we thought we would never get.

This is rare, but this movie was near perfect. The only thing that I’d give it a bad score on is when they introduced a character and made it seem like they played a big role in the film only to completely forget about them. I know they probably threw them in there to set up their future in the MCU but I would’ve loved them to have more of an impact than a quick five-minute scene.

This was my first ever Marvel premiere night and I was not disappointed. Both Sony and Marvel out did themselves with this one, it is definitely in my top five favorite MCU films. I recommend seeing Spider-man: No Way Home; If I could make everyone in the world watch it, I would. It is the best thing that Marvel has released since Avengers: Endgame. Go see this movie while it is still in theaters because the way everyone joined together is something you will not experience at home.

But before you go see the movie remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
