    • Spanish dominant
    • Bilingual
    • Language other than English or Spanish

The following guidelines are used in determining enrollment for the Dual Language program:

  1. Students in starting 4k, K or 1st grade may apply for enrollment in the program. If there are more applicants than space available a lottery process is used. See the lottery process guidelines above.
  2. Siblings of students currently enrolled in dual language are given preference for enrollment up to the end of 1st semester of 1st grade.
  3. In grades 2nd -5th a Spanish Screener (our ENIL assessment) is used to determine the student’s reading level and whether or not the student understands Spanish instructions. If the student is within a year’s reading level of the grade level average, and can understand Spanish instructions we will accept them (pending space available).
