KYPAC - Moana JR. (1-8)

KYPAC (Kenosha Youth Performing Arts Company), is a musical theatre program designed for students entering first grade through ninth grade. Students receive training in dance and choreography, acting, staging and singing, while preparing to perform before a live audience on the UW-Parkside stage. This year’s show is Moana JR! Students will identify, strengthen and enhance their performance skills, self-esteem and self-expression while working as a team to put together a professional fully staged musical. Students will attend rehearsals Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m. beginning Monday, June 29, at UW-Parkside. KYPAC culminates in a fully staged production July 30, 31, August 1, 2.  Auditions will take place on May 6, 7, 8, at Harborside Academy. Questions: Kristen Singer, 262-359-7885 or ksinger@kusd.edu

Summer Classics Theatre (9-12)

SCT (Summer Classics Theatre) is an intensive theatre program for High School students. This program is designed to deepen the student's understanding and ability to perform on stage. During the program, students will experience workshops on acting, voice, theatre combat, movement, writing, stagecraft, costuming, and play writing. Some plays from the workshop may be performed as part of the showcase. All rehearsals and performances  will be at Indian Trail High School Theater. 6800 60th street. Rehearsals will begin Monday June 15 and will run 8 am until 12 noon (Monday through Thursday). The program will wrap up with one weekend of performances.
