Important Meal Program Update

All KUSD meals are now FREE for all in-person and virtual students due to the district shifting back to the Summer Food Service Program. That’s right, FREE for ALL students!

New for VIRTUAL families only: We moved to a regional daily distribution plan effective Monday, Oct. 5. Families are now able to pick up free meals for all children in the household who elected virtual learning at one location of their preference on a daily basis. Individuals picking up meals must still provide a student name and ID number for each lunch and breakfast pack they wish to receive, but no longer need to preorder meals.

We Serve Food for Thought Everyday

Three students eating breakfast at a table.

Daydreaming kids? Is your student's head in the clouds in the morning? What's missing here? Students who miss breakfast have a harder time focusing in class and tend to perform worse on standardized tests than students who eat a healthy breakfast each morning.

Find out how your student can enjoy a healthy breakfast at school every morning!

Our food service department provides food for 21,412 students in 39 schools every day! Last year we served over 2,800,000 meals to KUSD students! Take a look at your school's menu. Learn more about your student's lunch account.
