This is my eleventh year as the kindergarten teacher here at Brompton. I earned my Early Childhood Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. My favorite thing about teaching is building relationships with the students and their families. Every day is different in kindergarten! You never know what they will do or say. The children love everything that I do. It’s so exciting to see their progress at the end of the year. Phonics is my favorite subject because it’s so successful.
Every child has an area they are working on – math, reading, phonics, behavior, etc. It is my job to move them in their journey.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, camping, reading, craft projects, cooking and traveling. I have been teaching for 35 years and was the Sam’s Club teacher of the year in 1997.
Testimonies from parents:
“Mrs. Begotka has a great talent for teaching young children as they begin their school experience. Not only does she nurture them along with a structured classroom, she has the ability to make them excited about learning. She treats them as individuals and is able to bring out their potential. My daughter is extremely lucky to have such a dedicated and caring teacher.” ~Michelle Marik, mom of Coryn Marik
“Mrs. Begotka is so patient with the kids. She has excellent communication with parents and greets parents and the class every morning. She has a contagious smile to brighten anyone’s day!”~Molly Knautz, mom of Logan Zdanowicz
