- Mary D. Bradford Boys’ Volleyball Program – APPROVED
- The Board approved a WIAA cooperative agreement between Bradford and Tremper High Schools for the 2027–28 boys’ volleyball season. The District will also provide a shuttle bus for Bradford students (during the 2027-28 school year only) at an estimated cost of $2,100 for the season. The goal is to give Bradford students the opportunity to participate while allowing the District to evaluate the program after the 2027 season.
- Board Action Regarding Strategic Planning – APPROVED
- The Board approved a partnership with CESA 6 to develop a new 3–5 year strategic plan for KUSD for $25,000. The plan will help align the Board, staff, families, students, and community around shared goals and priorities. The process will include input from a wide range of stakeholders and will focus on areas such as academics and learning, safety and well-being, financial stewardship, and community engagement.
- Policy 3540 – Cybersecurity Management and Planning (First and Second Reading) – APPROVED
- The Board approved a new policy to strengthen KUSD’s approach to preventing, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats. The policy is based on recommendations from federal and state education agencies and focuses on investing in effective security measures, addressing resource needs, and sharing information and working together to protect district systems and sensitive student and employee information.
- Approval of Board of Education Board Norms – APPROVED
- The Board approved meeting norms for the 2026–27 school year. The norms outline shared expectations for how Board members work together to help create efficient, respectful, and productive meetings. The norms will be reviewed annually.
- Resolution in Recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month October 2026 – APPROVED
- The Board proclaimed October as National Bullying Prevention Month in KUSD. The resolution recognizes the impact bullying can have on students’ safety, learning, and well-being and emphasizes the shared responsibility of schools, families, and the community to promote respect, inclusion, kindness, and safety.
- Resolution in Recognition of Italian Heritage Month October 2026 – APPROVED
- The Board proclaimed October as Italian Heritage Month in KUSD. The resolution recognizes the contributions of Italian and Italian-American communities to Kenosha, the nation, and the world.
- Resolution in Recognition of Polish Heritage Month October 2026 – APPROVED
- The Board proclaimed October as Polish Heritage Month in KUSD. The resolution recognizes the contributions of Polish and Polish-American communities to Kenosha, the nation, and the world.
- Resolution in Recognition of Wisconsin School Board Appreciation Week October 4-10, 2026 – APPROVED
- The Board proclaimed October 4–10, 2026, as Wisconsin School Board Appreciation Week in KUSD. The resolution recognizes the time and service Board members provide to students, families, staff, and the community.
