Kenosha Unified will be returning to pre-pandemic meal procedures for the 2022-23 school year. This includes some schools being Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools where all students in designated buildings may participate in the free and reduced-price meal program at no charge, and remaining schools being Non-CEP schools where applications are required to participate in the free or reduced-price meal program.
Students also may pay full price or bring cold lunch as an option. The food served in the free and reduced-price meal program is the same as the full-price meal.
CEP SCHOOLS (no applications required):
Bose, Brass, Chavez, Curtis Strange, EBSOLA Creative Arts, EBSOLA Dual Language, Forest Park, Frank, Grant, Grewenow, Harvey, Jefferson, McKinley, Roosevelt, Somers, Southport, Stocker, Vernon, Wilson, Bradford, Bullen, Hillcrest, Lincoln, Reuther, Washington
USDA Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications are not required to receive free or reduced-price meals at CEP school(s), however, they are encouraged to because other programs, such as fine arts, athletics, testing and scholarships may ask for your free/reduced status for reduced or waived fees. You may complete an online application via the Free and Reduced webpage, or you may visit your child’s school office to pick up a paper copy.
NON-CEP SCHOOLS (applications required):
Brompton, Dimensions of Learning, Jeffery, KTEC East and West, Nash, Pleasant Prairie, Prairie Lane, Whittier, Lance, Mahone, Harborside, Indian Trail, LakeView, Tremper
USDA Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications are required to receive free or reduced-price meals at Non-CEP schools. You may complete an online application via the Free and Reduced webpage, or you may visit your child’s school office to pick up a paper copy.
The following household size and income criteria will be used for determining eligibility. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free and reduced-price meals.
