During open enrollment, you are able to shop and select your benefits coverage. Keep in mind – your current elections will carry over if you do not make a change. The only exception is participating in the Limited Purpose FSA and Dependent Care FSA, which do require an active election to continue beyond the current benefit plan year.
As in past years, this is a passive enrollment, meaning that unless you want to make benefit changes, you do not need to do anything – your current elections will carry over to the next plan year unless you want the Flexible Spending Plan (FSA). Elections made during the open enrollment period will go into effect on July 1, 2026.

How to Make Changes
Go to Aflac at Work (Benefit Enrollment System)
- Enter your username and password.
- Your username is your KUSD ID or your Social Security Number with no dashes.
- Your PIN is the last four digits of your SSN plus the two-digit year of your birth.
- For example: If the last 4 digits of your SSN are 1122 and you were born in 1968 your PIN would be 112268.
- Follow the prompts to make your benefit selections for 2026-2027.
- Review your selections and click “Next” to review your Benefit Summary. Enter your PIN in the box at the bottom of each screen and click “Sign Form”. This will bring you to the “Congratulations” screen where you can print or save your signed forms listed at the bottom of the page.
Reminder: You will need the date of birth and Social Security number for each of your dependents (if applicable). These are required to enroll them in eligible benefits and to complete your beneficiary designation.
Please remember to print a copy for your records. If you need to change any information, simply go back into the site and make the changes prior to the May 31, 2026 cutoff.
