Transition | Kenosha Unified School District

Transition is the process of preparing to change from one environment to another. It should be a partnership between the student, family, school and post school service personnel. Some of the agency resources available are: Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, County Human Services, College/Technical school representatives, Independent Living Center staff and Job Center staff. It can include others that will be necessary to assist the student in assuring that all needs are addressed.

Kenosha County Community on Transition (KCCoT)

Kenosha Unified School District brings schools and agencies together as a team working to provide transition services to students with disabilities.

The mission of the KCCoT is to promote choices of independent living, education and career/employment options for persons with disabilities.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this productive committee please contact a Transition Teacher located at one of the KUSD High Schools.

Please visit the Wisconsin Statewide Transition Initiative for more information.
