KUSD Autism Support

KUSD has an autism support team comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including special education administrators, special education teachers, program support teachers, school psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, social workers and assistive technology personnel. The support team provides the following support to Kenosha Unified staff and students:

• Trainings to school district personnel to teach evidence based practices, increase background knowledge, and provide strategies to be implemented with students on the autism spectrum

• Chat and Chews presentations which provide opportunities for parents to attend informational meetings at a school

• Professional development for staff to assist in supporting students with autism spectrum disorders
